- Built for coverage gaps, job changes, and waiting periods
- Coverage lengths and renewals vary by state
- Lower premiums than comprehensive plans, with narrower benefits
Cash Benefits
Fixed Indemnity
Pays a set cash amount per covered service or event, paid to you rather than to the provider. Supplemental coverage, not a replacement for major medical.
- Benefits paid directly to you as a fixed amount
- Often paired with an existing health plan
- Helps offset out-of-pocket costs like deductibles and copays
Supplemental
Dental, Vision & Hearing
Standalone coverage for services most major medical plans exclude or limit for adults.
- Routine and major dental services, depending on the plan
- Vision exams and hardware allowances
- Hearing exams and hearing-aid benefits on select plans

Common Questions
The things people ask us first.
What is the difference between Major Medical and a short-term plan?
Major Medical is ACA-compliant: it covers the ten essential health benefits and cannot deny you coverage or charge more for a pre-existing condition. A short-term plan is temporary coverage meant for gaps between other plans. It typically costs less, but it is not ACA-compliant and may exclude pre-existing conditions. Which one fits depends on your situation, and a licensed agent will walk through both with you.
Does it cost anything to compare plans through Alliance 1 Health?
No. Comparing plans through Alliance 1 Health is free. As a licensed agency we are compensated by the carrier when you enroll, not by you, and you will not pay more for the same plan by going through us than by going direct.
How long does enrollment take?
Most applications are completed during or shortly after your consultation call. Effective dates depend on the carrier, the plan type, and when you apply. Your agent will confirm the specific timeline for the plan you choose.
What if I have a pre-existing condition?
ACA-compliant Major Medical plans cannot deny coverage or charge you more because of a pre-existing condition. Other plan types, including short-term medical, may exclude them. Tell your agent about any conditions, medications, or doctors you want covered so they can steer you toward plans that will actually work for you.
Where are you licensed?
Alliance 1 Health LLC is a licensed insurance agency operating in every state except Washington. Plan availability varies by state and by ZIP code, and your agent will only quote plans available where you live.
What information do I need for the consultation?
To start, just your ZIP code, household size, and approximate household income. It also helps to have a list of any doctors or prescriptions you want covered. You do not need to provide a Social Security number to get a quote.
